Dr. James L. Hardeman has been a practicing physician for 30 years.
Over many decades and thousands of patient interviews and examinations, Dr. Hardeman has developed his strategy for sustaining good health. He recommends these methods in his patient care, applies them in his own personal practice, and now communicates them in his debut book Appears Younger Than Stated Age (Intensivist Press, Fall 2012).
Triple board certified in Internal Medicine, Pulmonary Disease, and Critical Care Medicine, Dr. Hardeman has maintained the demanding schedule of both hospital-based medicine and a busy office practice. After graduating Summa Cum Laude from University of California at Irvine he attended Baylor College of Medicine where he was elected to the AOA Honor Medical Society. Postgraduate training in Internal Medicine and Pulmonary/Critical Care Medicine took place at USC and UCI, and he has been given numerous awards for excellence in patient care from St. Jude Medical Center in Fullerton, California where he lives and works.
A vegetarian of 30 years, whose hobbies include hiking, snowboarding, surfing and mountain biking, he can proudly say that he’s maintained the same weight since age 18. But his greatest sources of pride are his two children and 37-year marriage to his wife, Kris.
